Rhizomebook  |  Disclaimer and last update

It took you a long time to create this book, why is that?

This website does not work toward stable objects, clear conclusions, or fixed positions. It moves through institutional language, administrative systems, digital environments, ecological models, and forms of circulation that normally remain outside the category of art. Applications, policy structures, metadata, archives, websites, collections, and organizational procedures are approached as unstable terrains rather than neutral frameworks. Instead of illustrating critique from a distance, the work enters these systems directly and operates from within their logic. Meaning emerges through displacement, delay, contradiction, repetition, negotiation, and systemic response. Projects rarely exist in one place or medium. They appear temporarily, migrate, fragment, disappear, re-emerge elsewhere, or remain suspended in unfinished states. A publication may function as infrastructure. An application may operate as performance. An archive may behave like fiction. Administrative language may become sculptural material. The practice resists the demand for coherence, transparency, productivity, and categorization that often structures institutional and cultural environments. Visibility is treated with suspicion. Legitimacy is not assumed to be neutral. Value is understood as something continuously constructed through language, context, and power. Works spread through association rather than linear development. They move laterally through connection, contamination, interruption, translation, and drift. What matters is not resolution, but circulation; not fixed meaning, but the conditions under which meaning becomes possible. Ecology appears less as subject matter than as operational logic. Wild growth, invasive plants, underground systems, and neglected territories function as structural models for forms of artistic practice that evade containment and resist domestication. Rhizomebook is not a representation of this practice. It is one of the places where it temporarily takes form.
